This is the basic cream cheese recipe but you can personalise it by adding fresh herbs, olives, sun dried tomatoes or any ingredient to add unique flavours to your cheese.
- 500 gr Full fat Greek yogurt
- 3/4 tbp Sea salt
Add the sea salt to the yogurt and mix well
Pour the yogurt onto a muslin cloth that has been previously placed over a colander or sieve and over a bowl
Close the muslin cloth by wrapping together the ends of the cloth to avoid a skin forming on the cheese. Place the bowl in the fridge over night or better 24 hours
After remove from the fridge and serve immediately with your favourite accompaniment
- Add fresh herbs, olives, sun dried tomatoes or any other ingredient to make a personalise cream cheese flavour
- Keep in the fridge in a seal tight container. The cheese will keep for 3 to 4 days or even more if kept air tight.
- This recipe makes approx 250gr/300gr of cream cheese
